Scrum Master
Job description
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Scrum Master to join our External Fraud Workflow Management team at Rabobank. The ideal candidate will be a “go-to Scrum Master,” capable of guiding our team through complex projects while fostering an environment of continuous improvement and high performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, etc.) to ensure effective collaboration and communication within the team.
- Act as a servant leader and coach for Agile teams, helping them to achieve higher levels of maturity and performance.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure the product backlog is well-defined, prioritized, and understood by the team.
- Identify and remove impediments that hinder the team’s progress.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to experiment and learn from their experiences.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, helping them to develop their skills and capabilities.
- Ensure the team adheres to Agile principles and practices of the Rabobank’s own Simplify@Scale, promoting a mindset of accountability and ownership.
- Coordinate with other Scrum Masters and stakeholders to align on dependencies and deliverables.
- Perform tasks at the area level, contributing to the broader goals and initiatives of the External Fraud Area within the Financial Economic Crime tribe.

Requirements
Proven experience (5 years) as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in an IT environment, preferably within the financial sector.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Certification in Scrum (e.g., CSM, PSM) is preferred.
Experience with tools such as Azure Devops, and other Agile project management tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the Financial Economic Crime domain.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in the financial sector.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Working conditions This job role is split between operational (run) and project (build) work (75%/25%). Some changes are planned outside business hours to minimize business impact. This job vacancy is for the location Utrecht (NL).
