Imagine this: Once upon a time, there was a bank with a current account environment running on a platform where future ambitions could not be realized effectively. To create a fit-for-future solution, the bank decided to develop an entirely new platform.

Now, this new platform is nearly completed (developed in-house), and we are in the middle of large-scale account migrations from the old environment to the new platform. And all of this is happening while the bank remains open 24/7, with our customers unaware of these changes.
During these migrations, we are already looking ahead to the future, dreaming of possibilities such as Banking as a Service (BaaS), Open Banking, and various other opportunities.

To give you an idea, here are some facts about us:
- We have over ten million accounts.
- We serve approximately 8.7 million customers worldwide.
- On peak moments, we process over twenty-five million transactions per day.
- During peak moments, we process over twenty-five hundred transactions per second.

To effectively guide the development of these migrations and our aspirations, we are seeking a Test Engineer who excels in working within a DevOps squad that operates fully Agile/Scrum. Alongside business analysts, solution architects, developers, operations specialists and a scrum master, you will collaborate closely with a team of 24 colleagues on a daily basis.

What will you do: As a Test Engineer, together with your team, you will be responsible for realizing a robust current account system in a new application landscape. This detached fit-for-future architecture (Mainframe, API, Cloud) serves as a foundation for payment innovation, new business models, products, delivering 24/7 fast, reliable, and efficient processing of current accounts for both business and private customers.

You will work on multiple features simultaneously for different systems (CNA – new current account and GPS – transaction routing), and you will play a role in both innovation and continuity within your area of focus. You will translate functional designs into a testing approach and detailed test scenarios. Collaborating with stakeholders, you will align test data and set up test environments accordingly. Additionally, you will conduct peer reviews of your colleagues' work. Your responsibilities will include test automation, executing system, integration, and chain tests, as well as preparing test reports.
You will serve as a point of contact for Test Analysts from interconnected systems within the chain. Through involvement in various components, you will gain in-depth knowledge of Rabobank.

As a mature and knowledgeable conversationalist, you will think at different abstraction levels. The technical complexity is significant, and as a Tester, you are expected to embrace this challenge, think beyond existing frameworks and guidelines, demonstrate inventiveness, take initiative, show courage, push boundaries, and overcome obstacles. With substantial experience in this field and a passion for the Testing profession, you excel under pressure, deliver as agreed, and provide support and coaching to your fellow Testers.
