You and Your Job
As a Data Management Consultant for Financial Economic Crime (FEC), you will implement data management strategies for FEC within Rabobank. Working alongside Model Owners, Report Owners, and Data Producers, you will set data requirements, define data quality (DQ) requirements, and translate them into automated controls. You will proactively take action when data quality falls below expectations and provide advice about the correct use of data in various projects. Your role includes educating data model squads on data management and representing FEC to the Rabobank Global Data Management Office, particularly in project groups. You'll be able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization—strategic, tactical, and operational—translating this into actionable solutions and advice for stakeholders in close collaboration with your team.
Additionally, you will stay updated with the latest developments in data management and be eager to help the Tribe FEC Tech grow to the next level of maturity.
Engaging closely with stakeholders, you’ll identify regulatory and business requirements with the overarching goal of digitizing and innovating FEC to protect society, our customers, and our bank. You should be comfortable operating in a highly regulatory environment and possess the creativity to achieve results in such settings.

Collaborate with Areas and FEC Business Lines to help implement our data management standards and procedures, such as data governance, data quality monitoring, and aligning data definitions, while following our standardized way of working. We partner with the FEC business lines like Customer Due Diligence, Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions, and External Fraud.

Work closely with model developers and data engineering squads to clarify data quality requirements, establish data definitions, and address data quality issues.

Participate in working groups while advising the global data management office and representing FEC.

Data is crucial for effective detection within FEC, and we uphold high data standards. As a Data Management Consultant for FEC, you will be responsible for:

Establishing and operationalizing the data management framework within FEC, ensuring teams work in accordance with the bank’s data management standards. Key topics include Data Governance, Data Lineage, Data Quality Monitoring & Reporting.

Identifying data quality monitoring requirements and specifications for both new and existing data models and reports.

Analyzing, monitoring, and resolving data quality issues in close cooperation with product owners and business analysts.

The Chapter Data Management FEC consists of 12 highly professional data management consultants and is part of the new Area Data & Insights within Tribe FEC Tech. Data & Insights is the go-to area for all global FEC data topics. We aim high, have a growth mindset, and foster an open, informal, and inclusive culture while supporting each other in an agile work environment. We often work hybrid, spending one or two days in the office each week, usually on Mondays.

You and Your Talent
When you recognize yourself in the skills mentioned below, you have everything you need to become the new Data Management Consultant FEC at Rabobank:
- Academic (Masters or Bachelor) working and thinking level.
- At least 3 years experience with Data Management, e.g. Data Quality Management, Data Analysis, Data Governance.
- Experience with Data Management at Rabobank or one of its subsidiaries is a plus.
- Strong analytical and consultancy skills.
- Knowledge of and experience with DAMA dimensions.
- Getting the job done mentality and positive attitude.
- Strong collaborator, both inside and outside the team with good networking skills. Good communicator and comfortable in building relationships.
- Sharing knowledge and proactively helping team members where necessary to get the job done.
- Eager to learn new things and to experiment.
- Keen on new developments in data and digitalization within the financial sector.
- Enthusiasm for Financial Economic Crime topics.
- Experience in agile way of working (scrum).
- CDMP certification at associate level is a plus.

This job role offers a balanced split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a distribution of 75% operational and 25% project-related tasks. To minimize the impact on business operations, some changes may be scheduled outside of regular business hours.
