As a Data Modeler, you'll be an essential member of the Asteroid squad. This team is responsible for receiving, processing, and standardizing data for reporting within the Markets & Treasury tribe. Operating at the heart of the bank, the squad ensures the delivery of standardized and structured data for various use cases and consumers.

You and Your Talent

The ideal candidate possesses:

• Experience in data governance with an emphasis on data modelling. Experience could show through:

  • 7 years of work experience in a large-scale and complex environment, with a focus on data processing

  • 5 years of experience in operational data management activities, business intelligence, and/or data warehousing

• Hands-on experience with physical and relational data modeling. Design and implement scalable data models.

• Experience with translating relational data models into XML.

• Experience with data warehouses and big data platforms.

• Knowledge & hands-on experience of data modeling principles including conceptual and logical data models.

• Knowledge of metadata management and related tools (develop and maintain metadata repositories and data catalogs to improve data discovery, lineage tracking, and impact analysis).

• Database design and normalization.

• Proficient in English on a professional level.

• Knowledge of financial markets.

Nice to Have Skills

• Ability to utilize business intelligence tools to represent insights.

• Understanding of data governance and compliance.

• Integrate real-time and streaming data sources into existing data models ensuring seamless compatibility with batch processing systems.

• Implement data quality and consistency checks using advanced validation techniques and automated testing frameworks to maintain model integrity.

• Hands-on experience in creating data models aligned with Azure cloud data platforms, Azure cloud native services, and Databricks Lakehouse.

• Domain knowledge in markets & treasury; investment banking areas is a plus.

Working Conditions

This job role offers a balanced split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a distribution of 75% operational and 25% project-related tasks. To minimize the impact on business operations, some changes may be scheduled outside of regular business hours.
