As part of this mission, the Wholesale & Rural Tech department serves as the IT provider for Rabobank’s Wholesale & International business. Their systems, meticulously developed and managed, play a critical role in supporting Rabobank’s operations worldwide.

Responsibilities

As a member of the Murex Configuration Services Back Office squad, you’ll be at the forefront of a transformative journey. Here’s what awaits you:

  1. Global Impact: Our team spans across Utrecht and London. We collaborate with business units across diverse geographies, including Oceania, Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
  2. Front-to-Back-to-Risk Transformation: We’re engaged in an ongoing program to enhance our trade processing platform. Leveraging the power of the Murex product, we’re replacing legacy systems and streamlining processes. This initiative is pivotal in shaping Rabobank’s future.
  3. Functional Excellence: As a Business Analyst, your focus will primarily be on the Finance/Accounting domain. You will configure Murex modules to meet the specific needs of the finance and accounting departments; as well as design and implement integrations between Murex and other systems, such as ERP or GL systems.
  4. Testing and Collaboration: You’ll work closely with stakeholders, ensuring that comprehensive tests validate our solutions. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency, compliance, and success of our Murex platform.

Essential Skills

As a Murex Finance Business Analyst/Configurator, the following skills are essential for the role:

  1. Product Knowledge:

    Understanding of diverse asset classes, including Fixed Income, FX, Money Market (MM), Interest Rates (Rates), Securities, and Commodities.

  2. Accounting Rules Setup:

    Experience configuring accounting rules for trades and flows. This includes both out-of-the-box (OOB) rules and customized rules using simulation views.

  3. Pre-Trade Workflow:

    Understand pricing and booking sequences.

  4. Datamart Reporting Chain:

    Utilize it for PL (Profit and Loss) and GL (General Ledger) reports.

    Able to work independently on Datamart challenges.

  5. Official P&L Generation:

    Familiarize yourself with official P&L views.

  6. Post-trade Workflow:

    Good MXML skills. Good understanding of XSL, XSLT, data dictionary formulae.

    MxML Exchange - Understand workflows, tasks, Amendment agents, space definitions, interfaces, and trade repositories.

  7. Trade Lifecycle:

    Navigate booking and market operations for FXMM, IRD vanilla products, Futures (including margin calls), and call accounts.

  8. Murex Data Model:

    In-depth understanding of Murex data model.

  9. Confirmation Instruction Setup:

    Configure filters using Murex Data Query Language.

  10. User-Definable Fields:

    Set up custom fields.

  11. Programming Languages:
    • Java: Experienced with Java API Development.
    • Unix: Proficiency in Unix commands, ability to investigate logs effectively.
    • SQL Knowledge: Able to write and debug complex SQL queries.

Desirable Skills

While not mandatory, the following skills would enhance your effectiveness in the role:

  1. Programming Languages:

    Good knowledge of Python.

  2. Murex End of Day:

    Good understanding of Murex End Of Day (Building blocks) process.

Working conditions: This job role offers a balanced split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a distribution of 75% operational and 25% project-related tasks. To minimize the impact on business operations, some changes may be scheduled outside of regular business hours.
