About the Role: As a member of our **Network Security & Connectivity team**, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a secure, robust network infrastructure that upholds global application delivery and access policies. Our team is responsible for managing critical security services such as Firewalls, Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), and DDI (DNS, DHCP, and IPAM) services. We oversee the operation of these security products, ensuring that the infrastructure remains secure, scalable, and efficient to meet growing demands.

To support our expanding infrastructure, we are looking for **Network Security Specialists** who excel in identifying anomalies, performing detailed analysis, and responding proactively to potential threats across both on-premise and cloud environments. Key Responsibilities:

- **Customer Request Fulfillment:**
- Implement customer requests related to Firewall and DNS configurations, ensuring accurate and secure deployment.

- **Network Security Design and Implementation:**
- Design, configure, implement, and maintain network security measures that protect our infrastructure. This includes creating secure network architectures that integrate seamlessly across on-premise and cloud environments.

- **Access Control and Threat Management:**
- Manage Access Control Lists (ACLs), IDS/IPS systems, and Threat Prevention policies, ensuring robust security protocols to detect and mitigate risks.

- **Technical Support and Incident Resolution:**
- Provide 2nd and 3rd line support, diagnosing and resolving security incidents quickly and effectively. You will also participate in various projects to enhance our network security posture.

- **Security Service Management:**
- Oversee the operation of security services, including regular upgrades, compliance checks, and capacity planning. You will ensure that our systems remain updated and capable of handling emerging threats.

- **Process Development and Maintenance:**
- Develop and refine procedures for network security management. Maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and produce usage reports that help track the efficiency and security of our network infrastructure.

Role Structure: This role offers a blend of **operational** and **project-based** tasks, with a focus on daily operations (75%) such as maintaining and monitoring security measures, along with involvement in strategic projects (25%) that aim to improve and innovate our security infrastructure. Occasionally, the role may require off-hours work to implement critical changes without disrupting business operations.

A robust background in networking, particularly at Layer 3 and above, is essential for success in this position, enabling you to manage and troubleshoot intricate network environments confidently.

Key Requirements:

- **Certifications and Technical Expertise:**
- We have high standards for this role, requiring certifications such as **CCSE (Check Point Certified Security Expert)** and/or **CCSA (Check Point Certified Security Administrator)**.
- Experience with security tools such as **Illumio, Checkpoint IPS/IDS,** or **F5** is essential.
- A background in **enterprise network infrastructure security** is highly valued, and the ability to work with network security tools effectively is a must.

- **Scripting and Automation Skills:**
- Proficiency in scripting, particularly with **PowerShell,** is highly desired. Experience with **(API) scripting** is a plus, as it will enable you to automate tasks and improve efficiency in managing network security.

- **Network Troubleshooting:**
- Strong troubleshooting skills are essential, and experience with diagnostic tools like **Tcpdump** and **Wireshark** will be vital for identifying and resolving network issues quickly and efficiently.

- **Broad Security Service Knowledge:**
- A comprehensive understanding of security services, including **Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Threat Prevention, VPNs,** and **Web Gateways** (e.g., **Illumio, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, ZScaler, F5, Akamai, Clearpass, Infoblox**) is required.
- Familiarity with **networking concepts** such as **Routing/Switching, DNS/DHCP**, and protocols like **IPv4, IPv6, HTTP, SSL, FTP,** and **DNS** is also essential.

- **Understanding of Authentication Systems:**
- Experience with authentication systems and identity management solutions, including **LDAP, Microsoft Active Directory (MS AD),** and **ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services)** is advantageous.
- Any programming skills, though not mandatory, would be a beneficial addition.

Skills and Methodologies:

- **Analytical and Communication Skills:**
- Strong analytical abilities to identify and solve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, with fluency in both written and spoken English, enabling you to interact effectively with colleagues and customers.

- **Methodological Knowledge:**
- Familiarity with methodologies such as **Agile, Lean, ITIL,** and **DevOps** will be advantageous, allowing you to adapt to and enhance modern, efficient working environments.
