Network Security Specialist (Hybrid)

To undertake moderately complex projects ensuring the security and compliance of our systems, networks , physical infrastructure, people and information. To contribute to the definition of security procedures/controls/policies, within established guidelines; ensuring they are effective and appropriate for SWIFT and its customers, and that they are consistent with the company objectives, company reputation and regulatory requirements.

We are looking for a dedicated Senior Network Security Engineer in the Network security team

• Team has full end-to-end ownership of network capabilities that allow for strong security prevention, detection and response of cyber threats.
• Team’s core mission is to ensure Swift's cyber infrastructure is in line with industry standards by product selection for new tools, POCs, deployment, configuration, maintenance, support and license management.

What To Expect:

As a Senior Network Security Engineer, you will drive and contribute to a number of key activities:

• Be the trusted & main point of contact for network security matters
• Conduct implementation of new initiatives regarding Cyber security, to improve prevention, detection and investigation capabilities.
• Investigate complex security cases and propose response procedures. Work with more senior Security Management Specialists to resolve/close security cases.
• Provide input to guide the security roadmap for future improvements of our defense.
• Evaluate and integrate new security solutions in the existing infrastructure.
• Support operational teams maintaining security infrastructure (intrusion detection, remote access security, email & web security, anti-malware, etc.)
• Support security investigations
• Identify and analyze tools to automate day to day activities such as system checks, log checks and baseline compliance.
• Occasionally participate in supporting audits and risk assessments
• Be deep on the technical side while being able to synthesize the information with right level of abstraction for the target audience.
• Promote a strong security mentality at Swift

What will make you successful?

Experience

• Typically has 10 to 15 years of relevant work experience.

• Cloud Security (SWG, ZTNA, CASB)
• Zero trust
• Network Security
• WAF, OWASP Top10
• Strong, proven problem-solving skills and ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems, driving work through to completion

• Autonomous, driven, with proven ability to quickly adapt to new priorities and respond to change.

• Open-minded, enthusiastic, solutions oriented, and a true teammate – gaining energy through collaboration with others.

Education:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s degree or equivalent experience is an asset

Working conditions This job role is split between operational (run) and project (build) work (75%/25%). Some changes are planned outside business hours to minimize business impact. This job vacancy is for the location Utrecht (NL).
